Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Long Island Osteoporosis & Arthritis provides diagnostic ultrasound exams and ultrasound-guided procedures to assist with early diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and disorders such as arthritis, bursitis, and gout. Musculoskeletal ultrasound offers non-operative treatment options for musculoskeletal conditions of the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, hip, knee, and ankle and foot.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound, also known as MSK ultrasound or simply MSKUS, uses sound waves to quickly provide images of bones, joints and tendons at the point-of-care to assist with diagnosis and treatment. Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound is fast, non-invasive and radiation-free. Ultrasound-guided injections deliver greater accuracy and less pain than injections guided by touch.
In-House Lab
Long Island Osteoporosis & Arthritis has an on-site laboratory capable of processing routine studies for general medical care. We also offer specialized auto-antibody testing needed to follow patients with rheumatologic diseases.
If only a portion of the lab results are performed in our office, we will draw the blood tests in our office and send them to the appropriate commercial laboratory. When paired with physical examinations, blood tests are an effective way to confirm and diagnose potential disease activity.
Our on-site laboratory helps determine results, which are classified as positive or negative. If a rheumatic disease is diagnosed due to positive test results, further laboratory testing can show our physicians the extent of the disease and guide their treatment process.

In-house Infusion Center
